FORTNUM &
MASON
www.fortnumandmason.com
One of the oldest stores in London its reputation is world renowned. Fortnum & Mason has just emerged from the most comprehensive refurbishment in all its three centuries.
DH French Polishers were responsible for all the French Polishing throughout the extensive refurbishment across all floors. The antique pine stair cases were stripped of their old varnish and re-polished to a lighter, fresher colour. All of the internal doors, lift surrounds and other timber was stripped and lightened in keeping with the new more modern design.
The Fountain Restaurant benefited from a new, solid oak stair case which was stained and finished to match the rest of the decor. We also stripped and polished the entrance doors to both the Fountain Restaurant and the main entrance on Piccadilly, finishing them with a durable lacquer that will withstand the elements while maintaining their original charm.
